Durham, NC (October 18, 2021) – At 10 p.m. on the night of Sunday, October 17, a serious pedestrian accident occurred in Durham.
According to Durham Police, the accident happened at 400 Hebron Road. A pedestrian was walking in the area around Danube Lane and Mt. Level Road when they were suddenly struck by a passenger vehicle due to unknown reasons. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene to assist authorities.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The pedestrian, who has not yet been formally identified, was rushed to a local hospital with serious injuries. Their current condition is not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
