Garner, NC (August 7, 2021) – On Saturday morning, July 7, a passenger was injured in a tractor-trailer accident in Garner.
According to State Highway Patrol officials, the accident happened on I-40 around the area of Route 70. The driver of a tractor-trailer lost control of his truck and struck the middle concrete barrier. The truck then came to a rest in the middle of the highway.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene. The driver of the truck received a hand injury and his passenger’s face was injured. Their identities and conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was almost entirely blocked until approximately 10 a.m. when police cleared the scene.
