Garner, NC (March 4, 2021) – Around 2:15 p.m. on Wednesday, March 3, a tractor-trailer collision occurred on a highway in Garner.
According to officials, the accident took place in the eastbound lanes of I-40 around the area of NC-42. The crash took place when a box truck and a tractor-trailer collided with each other.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene. One person was trapped and had to be freed. The victim was taken to WakeMed by ambulance for unknown injuries.
Eastbound lanes of traffic were closed in the area for an extended period of time until police cleared the scene.
