Goldsboro, NC (August 15, 2021) – On Saturday morning, August 14, a serious car accident with injuries occurred on a highway in Goldsboro.
According to Wayne County officials, the accident happened on NC-111 around the area of the Food Lion store in the southbound lanes. Two passenger vehicles were traveling in the area when they suddenly collided due to reasons that are not yet known. Both vehicles went off the side of the road after colliding.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. Four people were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries. They are expected to fully recover.
Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.
