Goldsboro, NC – One Killed in Drowning Accident at Busco Beach Park on 1243 Bryan Blvd

Goldsboro, NC (May 9, 2021) – A person drowned in Wayne County on Sunday evening, May 9, officials say.

The incident happened around 7:00 p.m. at Busco Beach ATV Park, which is located at 1243 Bryan Boulevard. Per Wayne County spokesman Joel Gillie, a 46-year-old man died in the drowning at the park, though no other details about the victim were released.

The drowning is the second death at the ATV park in less than two weeks after a 21-year-old man died in an ATV accident on April 30.

An investigation into the circumstances of the collision will be carried out by local law enforcement officials.
