Goldsboro, NC (August 12, 2021) – On Thursday morning, August 12, a three-car accident occurred at an intersection in Goldsboro.
According to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, the accident happened at the intersection of NC-111 and St. John Church Road. Three vehicles were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection at the same time, colliding with each other. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One person was critically injured in the accident. The unidentified party was airlifted to Vidant Medical Center for treatment of unknown injuries.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for an extended period of time as police cleared the scene.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
