Graham, NC (January 16, 2021) – Around 6 a.m. on Saturday morning, January 16, one person was killed in a fatal house fire in Graham.
The Graham Fire Department confirmed that the incident took place in a home on 316 West Market Street. A family member on the same street initially saw the house catch on fire and called fire crews. Heavy fire rose out of the back of the house and heavy smoke was seen coming from the front.
Responders were able to quickly get inside the home to look for an occupant who was allegedly inside. They were able to pull the occupant from the home after their search. The patient was taken to the hospital but tragically succumbed to their injuries.
The fire took approximately two and a half total hours to get under control.
No further details have been released but the investigation into the accident continues.
