Greenville, NC – Dennis Spangler Killed in Motorcycle Crash on Greenville Blvd

Greenville, NC (December 6, 2021) – At 5:30 p.m. on the evening of Friday, December 3, a man was killed in a fatal motorcycle crash in Greenville.

According to Greenville officials, the accident happened at the intersection of Greenville Boulevard and Eastbrook Drive. A woman identified as Asma Reeder was headed south on the roadway and started to make a left turn onto Eastbrook. Her vehicle was put in front of the motorcycle, causing them to collide forcefully with one another.

Paramedics and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. The motorcyclist, identified as 66-year-old Dennis Spangler, was thrown from his motorcycle. He was rushed to Vidant Medical Center where he was tragically pronounced dead.

Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for some time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.

No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
