Greenville, NC – Kenneth Hayes Injured in Truck Accident on NC-264

Greenville, NC (November 12, 2021) – Around 3:30 a.m. on Friday morning, November 12, a man was injured in a truck accident in Greenville.

According to Pitt County officials, the accident happened on NC-264 around the area of North Grimesland Bridge Road. Police confirmed that a man named Kenneth Hayes was driving on the highway when he made a left turn, crashing into a tractor-trailer in the area. The vehicle was then struck by a pickup truck. The accident led to extensive damages to the involved vehicles.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. Hayes was rushed to Vidant Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries. He is expected to fully recover. Nobody else was injured as a result of the collision.

Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was closed for approximately two or more hours until police cleared the scene.
