Grimesland, NC – Fatal Car Crash at Mobleys Bridge Rd & NC-33

Grimesland, NC (November 25, 2021) – On Wednesday night, November 24, a fatal car crash occurred at an intersection in Grimesland.

According to Pitt County officials, the accident happened at the intersection of Mobleys Bridge Road and NC-33. Two vehicles, identified as a passenger vehicle and a pickup truck, were headed in the area when they suddenly collided head-on with each other. The vehicles both ended up in a nearby yard with extensive front-end damage.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One person, who has not yet been identified, was traumatically injured in the accident. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Due to the severity of the accident, a large portion of the roadway was blocked for an extended period of time.

No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
