Hendersonville, NC – One Killed in Construction Accident Involving Retaining Wall

Hendersonville, NC (January 13, 2021) – Around 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday morning, January 13, a fatal construction accident took place in Hendersonville.

Hendersonville officials confirmed that the accident took place at an unidentified location early Wednesday morning. Construction workers were conducting work at a site close to the parking lot of a local business when a retaining wall fell on the workers.

Paramedics and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene of the accident. One person was pronounced dead and four others were injured as a result of the accident. Two people were severely injured and transported by medical helicopter. Their identities are not yet known.

The area was closed off for a period of time until police cleared the scene.

No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
