Jacksonville, NC – Pedestrian Accident at Henderson Dr & Doris Ave

Jacksonville, NC (October 14, 2021) – On Wednesday afternoon, October 14, a pedestrian accident took place at an intersection in Jacksonville.

According to Onslow County officials, the accident happened at the intersection of Henderson Drive and Doris Avenue. Two students from Northwoods Park Middle School were walking home from school when they were struck by a passenger vehicle at the intersection. It is believed that the vehicle remained at the scene.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. The students, who have not yet been identified, were injured in the collision. They were transported to local hospitals for treatment.

Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for a period of time.

No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
