Knightdale, NC (July 14, 2021) – At 5 p.m. on the evening of Wednesday, July 14, a car accident with injuries occurred in Knightdale.
According to the Wake County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened at the intersection of South Smithfield Road and Poole Road. Two vehicles were traveling in the area when they allegedly entered the intersection at the same time. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene. One or more victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries, though their conditions are not yet known.
The intersection was blocked in the area for an extended period of time as police cleared the scene.
