Laurinburg, NC (February 15, 2021) – Around 1:55 p.m. on Saturday, February 13, two people were killed in a fatal crash in Laurinburg.
According to the North Carolina Highway Patrol, the accident took place at the intersection of US-501 and Johns Road. One vehicle was traveling south in the area when it suddenly crossed the center line and struck a second vehicle head-on.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene of the crash. Two victims, identified as 18-year-old Serena Locklear and 18-year-old Isaiah Hardin, were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
In the other vehicle, an adult male and his three children suffered from various injuries. They are expected to recover.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
