Mooresville, NC (January 12, 2021) – Around 6 a.m. on Monday morning, January 11, an officer was injured in a head-on crash in Mooresville.
According to officials, the accident took place on East Plaza Drive near the intersection with West Iredell Avenue. The officer was driving to work when another vehicle went over the center line and struck her vehicle head-on. Her vehicle was totaled as a result of the accident.
The officer was the only person injured as a result of the collision. She was immediately taken to the hospital for treatment of her injuries and is expected to recover.
The roadway was blocked in the area for a period of time as police cleared the scene.
