Mt. Olive, NC (January 30, 2021) – On Friday afternoon, January 29, a serious car crash with injuries occurred in Mt. Olive.
According to officials, the accident happened when two vehicles collided with one another on Emmaus Church Road around the area of Pineview Cemetery Road. It is believed that an SUV pulled out of a driveway and struck a pickup truck traveling through the area.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene of the accident. The driver of the pickup truck, who has not yet been identified, was taken to the hospital with injuries.
Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.
The North Carolina State Highway Patrol continues to investigate the collision.
