New Bern, NC (September 28, 2021) – At 3:30 p.m. on the afternoon of Monday, September 27, a woman was killed in a fatal accident in New Bern.
According to police, the accident happened at 3306 Trent Road. A driver was traveling on the roadway in a Chevrolet Trailblazer when they suddenly lost control of their vehicle, causing it to travel off the road. The vehicle was severely damaged as a result of the crash.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The driver and a passenger in the vehicle were seriously injured and rushed to local hospitals for treatment. Another passenger, identified as 47-year-old Lisa McDaniel from New Bern, was pronounced dead at the scene due to severe injuries.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time as police cleared the scene.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
