Princeton, NC (March 3, 2021) – On Wednesday morning, March 3, a truck accident with injuries occurred between Princeton and Goldsboro.
A portion of U.S. Highway 70 was closed in both directions between Princeton and Goldsboro after a box truck crashed. Per authorities at the scene, the wreck occurred before 8:00 a.m. near Bridgers Road, close to the Johnston and Wayne County line. News footage showed a heavily damaged Tar Heel Basement Solutions truck in the middle of the roadway, along with several other vehicles pulled onto the shoulder of the highway. Heavy delays resulted from the incident.
It’s unclear how many victims sustained injuries in the collision, though EMTs were dispatched to treat and transport those involved.
The investigation into the accident is currently ongoing, and no further details have been released at this time.
