Raleigh, NC (May 8, 2021) – Around 6:00 p.m. on Friday evening, May 7, a multi-vehicle crash with injuries occurred on a highway in Raleigh.
Nearly 30 vehicles were involved in the major accident, which happened on Interstate 540 and shut down several lanes of the interstate near Creedmoor Road in North Raleigh.
It appeared to be a chain-reaction crash, though authorities have not said how many people were hurt at this point. Highway Patrol and NCDOT are investigating the scene and have not released further details.
The investigation remains ongoing.
