Raleigh, NC (August 26, 2021) – At 12:36 p.m. on the afternoon of Wednesday, August 25, a bicycle accident with injuries occurred in Raleigh.
According to the Raleigh Police Department, the accident happened at the intersection of Crabtree Boulevard and Timber Drive. A bicycle was traveling in the area when the rider entered the intersection. A vehicle did not see the cyclist and also entered the intersection, colliding with the bicycle. The accident led to extensive damages.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The bicyclist, who has not yet been identified, was injured in the crash. They were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for a period of time.
