Raleigh, NC – Car Accident at Atlantic Ave & New Hope Church Rd

Raleigh, NC (July 3, 2021) – At 7:33 p.m. on the evening of Friday, July 2, a car accident with injuries occurred at an intersection in Raleigh.

According to the Raleigh Police Department, the accident happened at the intersection of Atlantic Avenue and New Hope Church Road. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection at the same time, forcefully colliding. The vehicles involved in the crash were badly damaged.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those with injuries. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries.

The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection until police were able to clear the scene.

The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
