Raleigh, NC – Car Accident at Lake Wheeler Rd & Tryon Rd Intersection

Raleigh, NC (May 6, 2021) – At 6:34 a.m. on the morning of Thursday, May 6, a car accident with injuries occurred at an intersection in Raleigh.

According to the Raleigh Police Department, the accident happened at the intersection of Lake Wheeler Road and Tryon Road. Two or more vehicles allegedly entered the intersection at the same time, which led to extensive damages.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries. Their conditions are not yet known.

The roadway was blocked at the intersection for a period of time.

The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
