Raleigh, NC (August 6, 2021) – At 6:47 p.m. on the evening of Friday, August 6, a car accident with injuries occurred at a Raleigh intersection.
According to the Raleigh Police Department, the accident happened at the intersection of New Bern Avenue and Yonkers Road. Two vehicles were traveling in the area when they allegedly entered the intersection at the same time. This caused the vehicles to collide forcefully. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries. Their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
