Raleigh, NC (April 30, 2021) – At 3 p.m. on the afternoon of Friday, April 30, a car accident occurred on a major highway in Raleigh.
According to police, the accident happened in the eastbound lanes of I-40 around the area of mile marker 301. Police confirmed that multiple vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other in a chain-reaction collision. This led to extensive damages to the involved vehicles.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were hospitalized, though their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in several lanes until police cleared the scene.
