Raleigh, NC – Car Accident in EB Lanes of I-40 Leads to Injuries

Raleigh, NC (April 28, 2021) – Before 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon, April 28, a car accident with injuries occurred on a highway in Raleigh.

According to the Raleigh Police Department, the accident happened in the eastbound lanes of I-40 around the area of mile marker 306. Two or more vehicles collided with each other in the area due to reasons that are not yet known, which led to extensive damages.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries, though their conditions are not yet known.

The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for a period of time.

The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time.
