Raleigh, NC – Collision at Lake Dam Rd & Tryon Rd Intersection Results in injuries

Raleigh, NC (September 19, 2021) – At 6:50 p.m. on the evening of Sunday, September 19, a car crash with injuries occurred at an intersection in Raleigh.

According to the Raleigh Police Department, the accident happened at the intersection of Lake Dam Road and Tryon Road. Two or more vehicles were traveling in opposite directions when they entered the intersection at the same time, causing them to forcefully collide with one another. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged and had to be removed from the scene by tow trucks.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment. Their conditions are not yet known.

The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for a period of time as police worked to clear the scene.

No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
