Raleigh, NC (October 3, 2021) – At 2 p.m. on the afternoon of Sunday, October 3, a car crash with injuries occurred at an intersection in Raleigh.
According to Raleigh Police, the accident happened at the intersection of South New Hope Road and Old Poole Road. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection at the same time. This caused the vehicles to forcefully collide with one another. The vehicles were left with extensive damages and had to be removed from the scene by tow trucks.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment. Their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for a period of time. This led to delays until police cleared the scene.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families in hopes of a full recovery.
