Raleigh, NC (November 9, 2021) – At 7:24 p.m. on the evening of Tuesday, November 9, a car crash with injuries occurred at an intersection in Raleigh.
According to Raleigh Police, the accident happened at the intersection of Melville Drive and Sumner Boulevard. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection at the same time, forcefully colliding with each other. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured as a result of the accident. The injured victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for some time. Police urged those in the area to use alternate routes.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
