Raleigh, NC (November 23, 2021) – At 3:29 p.m. on the afternoon of Tuesday, November 23, a head-on bus collision occurred at an intersection in Raleigh.
According to Raleigh Police, the accident happened at the intersection of Wakefield Pines Drive and Kelway Drive. A bus and a Jeep were traveling in the area of the intersection at the same time. Due to reasons that are not yet known, the vehicles collided head-on into one another. This led to extensive damages to both vehicles.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other local responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims in the vehicles were injured as a result of the collision. They were hospitalized, though their conditions are not known at this time.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for some time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
