Raleigh, NC – Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident on S Saunders St

Raleigh, NC (September 9, 2021) – At 1:30 a.m. on the morning of Thursday, September 9, a hit-and-run pedestrian accident occurred in Raleigh.

According to Raleigh Police, the accident happened at 2506 South Saunders Street in the parking lot of the Circle K gas station. Five people were initially involved in an argument in the parking lot. Three people got in their vehicles and sped off when they hit a man in the parking lot. The vehicles did not stop after the collision.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene. The male pedestrian, who has not yet been identified, was injured as a result. He was rushed to the hospital for treatment, though his condition is not yet known.

Police are still searching for the driver who struck the man and fled the scene. The roadway was blocked in the area for some time.

No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues at this time.
