Raleigh, NC – Injuries Reported in Rollover Accident on Rock Quarry Rd

Raleigh, NC (April 18, 2021) – At 2:28 p.m. on the afternoon of Saturday, April 17, a serious rollover accident occurred in Raleigh.

According to the Raleigh Police Department, the accident happened on Rock Quarry Road near the area of Sunnybrook Road. Two vehicles collided with each other in the area of the intersection, which caused one of the vehicles to roll over. Both sustained a variety of damages.

Paramedics and numerous other responders were present at the scene. Two patients were trapped in a vehicle and had to be extricated by fire crews. The injured parties were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.

The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time. Police urged those traveling through to use an alternate route.

The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
