Raleigh, NC (June 30, 2021) – At 4:38 p.m. on the afternoon of Wednesday, June 30, a motorcycle accident with injuries occurred in Raleigh.
According to the Raleigh Police Department, the accident happened in the westbound lanes of I-440 around the area of I-87. A passenger vehicle and a motorcycle collided in the area due to reasons that are not fully known. The motorcycle involved in the collision was extensively damaged due to the crash.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately called to the scene. The motorcyclist, who has not yet been identified, was injured and hospitalized. Their condition is not yet known.
Due to the severity of the crash, there were extensive delays in the area for some time.
