Raleigh, NC (January 19, 2021) – Around 6 p.m. on Monday evening, January 18, a motorcycle accident with injuries occurred at an intersection in Raleigh.
According to officials, the accident took place at the intersection of Western Boulevard and Varsity Drive when a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle collided with one another. Police did not comment on the circumstances of the accident but have said that the motorcycle was badly damaged as a result of the accident.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene of the accident. The motorcyclist was the only person injured as a result of the accident. Their condition is not yet known, though they were hospitalized.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
