Raleigh, NC – Multi-Vehicle Accident with Injuries in WB Lanes of I-440

Raleigh, NC (February 25, 2021) – At 4 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon, February 24, a multi-vehicle accident with injuries occurred in Raleigh.

According to officials, the accident took place in the westbound lanes of I-440 around the area of mile marker 3. Few details have been released but it is believed that two or more vehicles collided in the area after one lost control. The accident led to extensive damages to the involved vehicles.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene of the accident. One or more victims were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries, though their conditions are not yet known.

The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for an extended period of time.
