Raleigh, NC – Multi-Vehicle Collision in EB Lanes of I-40

Raleigh, NC (April 20, 2021) – At 3:42 p.m. on the afternoon of Tuesday, April 20, a multi-vehicle collision occurred on a highway in Raleigh.

According to the Raleigh Police Department, the collision happened in the eastbound lanes of I-40 around the area of mile marker 289. Multiple vehicles collided with each other in the area, which led to extensive damages to the involved vehicles.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were hospitalized as a result, though their conditions are not yet known.

The roadway was blocked in multiple lanes for a period of time.
