Raleigh, NC (October 23, 2021) – At 11:44 a.m. on the morning of Friday, October 22, a pedestrian accident occurred at an intersection in Raleigh.
According to Raleigh Police, the accident happened at the intersection of Clark Avenue and Woodburn Road. A pedestrian was walking in the area when they were struck by a passenger vehicle traveling in the area. The passenger vehicle remained at the scene of the collision.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. The pedestrian, who has not yet been identified, was seriously injured in the accident. The injured party was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
