Raleigh, NC (November 26, 2021) – At 1:54 p.m. on the afternoon of Friday, November 26, a rollover accident occurred in Raleigh that led to injuries.
According to Raleigh Police, the accident happened in the westbound lanes of I-440 around the area of Glenwood Avenue. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other, causing one of the vehicles to forcefully overturn. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured as a result of the accident. The injured victims were hospitalized, though their conditions are not known at this time.
Due to the severity of the accident, multiple lanes of traffic were blocked. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
