Raleigh, NC – Rollover Crash Involving Carjacker on Triangle Town Blvd

Raleigh, NC (April 17, 2021) – Around 5 p.m. on Saturday afternoon, April 17, a rollover crash involving a carjacker occurred in Raleigh.

According to police, a man was driving a Ram pickup truck at the Triangle Town Center Mall on Triangle Town Boulevard. He stopped his truck and went inside a store to pick up an item while his wife stayed inside the vehicle. While the driver was missing, a carjacker jumped inside the truck.

The carjacker sped off with the wife still inside. The carjacker then lost control of the pickup truck, crashing into a tree and flipping it.

Paramedics and numerous other responders were present at the scene. The woman inside the pickup truck was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of a variety of injuries.

Police arrested the carjacker, who was still inside the truck when they arrived and in need of medical treatment.

The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
