Raleigh, NC (May 26, 2021) – At 12:33 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon, May 26, a car accident with serious injuries occurred at an intersection in Raleigh.
According to the Raleigh Police Department, the accident happened at the intersection of Atlantic Avenue and Ingram Drive. Two or more vehicles collided with each other after entering the intersection at the same time, which led to extensive damages.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene. One person was trapped inside their vehicle and had to be extricated by fire crews. The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.
The roadway was shut down in all directions until police cleared the scene.
