Raleigh, NC – Serious Motorcycle Accident with Injuries on Capital Blvd

Raleigh, NC (April 24, 2021) – Around 2:50 a.m. on the morning of Saturday, April 24, a motorcycle accident occurred in Raleigh.

According to police, the accident happened at the intersection of Capital Boulevard and Buffaloe Road. A passenger vehicle and a motorcycle collided with each other in the area, which led to extensive damages.

Paramedics and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene. A passenger on the motorcycle, identified as an adult woman, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

A 39-year-old man identified as Victor Ogembo was charged for the crash. He received charges for driving while impaired, felony injury by vehicle, and hit-and-run. He initially fled the scene but was soon caught by police.

The roadway was closed at the intersection for a period of time.

The investigation into the accident remains ongoing.
