Raleigh, NC (March 7, 2021) – Around 7:30 p.m. on Friday night, March 5, a teen was killed in a fatal pedestrian accident in Raleigh.
According to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, the accident happened on Old Milburnie Road. Five people were in a vehicle that suddenly got a flat tire so that pulled over. Three people inside the vehicle, identified as a male and two females, got out of the vehicle. A pickup truck traveling through the area struck the pedestrians and kept going.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene. A 17-year-old girl received a severe spinal injury and died at the hospital.
Another 17-year-old was left with minor injuries and was hospitalized. Nobody else was injured as a result of the crash.
Police have been looking for the vehicle responsible for the accident, which may have been a black Toyota Tundra.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
