Raleigh, NC (August 29, 2021) – Around 9:00 p.m. on Sunday evening, August 29, a multi-vehicle crash with injuries occurred on a highway in Raleigh.
At least three vehicles were involved in the major accident, which happened on Interstate 540 and shut down several lanes of the interstate near Creedmoor Road in North Raleigh. It appeared to be a chain-reaction crash, though authorities have not said how many people were hurt at this point. Officers with the Raleigh Police Department and NCDOT officials were investigating and have not released further details.
EMS units were photographed at the scene by news crews and paramedics appeared to transport at least one victim to an area medical center. Their current condition has not been provided, however.
The investigation remains ongoing at this time.
