Raleigh, NC (September 20, 2021) – At 9 a.m. on Monday morning, September 20, a bus accident with injuries occurred in Raleigh.
According to Raleigh Police, the accident happened at 1400 Rock Quarry Road. Police confirmed that a school bus was traveling in the area when it cut in front of a pickup truck. The pickup truck wrecked due to the bus driver’s acts. This caused extensive damages to the involved truck.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. Two children inside the pickup truck, identified as a 3-year-old and a 4-year-old, were seriously injured in the accident. A pregnant woman inside the pickup truck was also injured and taken to the hospital but she is expected to be okay.
The bus driver was cited for their role in the accident. Police confirmed that the roadway was blocked in the area for a period of time.
