Raleigh, NC (July 15, 2021) – At 7:32 a.m. on the morning of Wednesday, July 14, a three-vehicle collision with injuries occurred in Raleigh.
According to the Raleigh Police Department, the accident happened in the eastbound lanes of I-40 around the area of NC-306. Three vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged due to the crash. The vehicles were quickly cleared from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those with injuries. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
The roadway was blocked in the left lane for an extended period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
