Raleigh, NC (June 24, 2021) – On Wednesday night, June 23, a tractor-trailer accident with injuries occurred at an intersection in Raleigh.
According to the Raleigh Police Department, the collision happened at the intersection of Atlantic Avenue and Harrod Street. A tractor-trailer was driving in the area when it entered an intersection, colliding with a passenger vehicle. The accident led to extensive damages to the smaller vehicle.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were present at the scene. Due to the severity of the accident, the roof had to be removed from the passenger vehicle so that first responders could access the victim. The driver was then transported to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries. The driver of the truck was not injured.
The roadway was blocked all the way from Harrod to New Hope Church Road as police cleared the scene.
