Raleigh, NC (January 01, 2021) – A woman died after she was transported to a local hospital following a fire in a townhome in Raleigh on Wednesday, December 30th.
At about 5:15 p.m., firefighters reported to the townhome in the 1200 block of Falls Church Road. Upon their arrival, they discovered smoke billowing out of the second floor.
It took about 20 minutes for 35 firefighters to contain the blaze.
One woman was transported via ambulance to a hospital for injuries related to smoke inhalation. She was pronounced dead a short while later.
Her name has not yet been released.
