Reidsville, NC (December 9, 2021) – An auto accident reported on Thursday morning, December 9, claimed the life of one woman. At around 6 a.m., authorities were notified that their assistance was needed at the scene of a traffic-related incident on North Carolina State Route 14.
Reports from authorities show that 40-year-old Cara Elizabeth Reese of Yanceyville was traveling on North Carolina Highway 14. For unknown reasons, the Toyota Corolla pulled to the side of the road, and she exited the passenger side of the vehicle and went around the car to the driver’s side.
While outside of the vehicle, she was struck by a Ford Explorer in the area of Madison Street.
Reese sustained fatal injuries in the accident and died at the scene. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
