Rocky Mount, NC (January 11, 2021) – Around 9:30 p.m. on Saturday night, January 9, a woman was killed in a pedestrian accident in Rocky Mount.
According to police, the accident took place at 2200 Hunter Hill Road when a woman was crossing the street and was hit by a vehicle in the area. The vehicle immediately fled the scene of the accident.
The pedestrian, identified as 46-year-old Julia Uduma, was found lying in the street by first responders. She was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision.
Police believe that the vehicle that struck her is a Toyota Camry with front-end damage. Rocky Mount Police continue their investigation into the accident.
