Statesville, NC – Tractor-Trailer Collision with Injuries on US-21

Statesville, NC (January 20, 2021) – At 5:18 p.m. on the evening of Wednesday, January 20, a tractor-trailer collision took place on a major roadway in Statesville.

Charlotte officials confirmed that the accident happened on US-21 around the area of the York and Chester County line. According to police, the accident involved an 18-wheeler FedEx truck and one or more passenger vehicles. The accident led to extensive damages.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene of the crash to help those in need. One or more victims were hospitalized, though the extent of their injuries is not yet known.

The roadway was blocked for an extended period of time as police cleared the scene. This led to delays in the area.

Police continue their investigation into the circumstances of the collision.
