Wake Forest, NC – Box Truck Accident on Dr Calvin Jones Hwy

Wake Forest, NC (June 17, 2021) – At 5:48 p.m. on the night of Wednesday, June 16, a box truck accident occurred on a highway in Wake Forest.

According to Wake Forest officials, the accident happened on the Dr. Calvin Jones Highway when a box truck collided with another vehicle. The box truck overturned forcefully and the passenger vehicle was left with catastrophic front-end damage. The vehicles involved in the accident had to be towed from the scene.

Paramedics and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene. Two patients, who have not yet been identified, were transported to local hospitals for treatment of unknown injuries.

The roadway was blocked completely in the area for a period of time as police cleared the scene.

No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing at this time.
